Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure a positive patient experience. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist with data entry, medication preparation, vaccine administration, and health services offered by the pharmacy.

You will also lead training and performance management of technicians, manage scheduling, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification.
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care, including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law.
• Support pharmacy operations to ensure efficient workflow and patient experience.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians; handle discipline decisions as needed.
• Coordinate inventory management, records, reporting, and compliance with policies and regulations.
