Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

Under supervision, you will assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation, while leading training and performance management of technicians. You will coordinate with the Pharmacy Manager to delegate non-clinical work, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with patient registration, data entry, and prescription preparation.
• Delivers non-clinical patient calls and supports vaccine and health service offerings.
• Manages pharmacy workflow, schedules, and inventory to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitors insurance claims processing and resolves issues to prevent rejections.
• Provides training and performance feedback to pharmacy technicians.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
