Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to perform day-to-day non-clinical and administrative pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist.

You will support patient data entry, prescription processing, and ensure an efficient workflow, while maintaining accuracy and patient safety. The role includes training and supervision of technicians, participation in vaccine administration and health services, and ongoing compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification.
• Handle patient and physician calls under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Participate in healthcare services offerings including vaccines, health screenings, and other allowed services.
• Coordinate daily pharmacy schedule and ensure efficient workflow and inventory management.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements and assist with records and reporting.
