Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will handle prescription data entry, patient registration, and medication preparation while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, ensure accurate insurance processing, inventory control, and maintain a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required or in process.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, data entry, medication preparation, counting and verification where allowed by law.
• Handle patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision and participate in health services offered.
• Delegate non-clinical tasks and manage pharmacy workflow to ensure on-time completion.
• Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
• Manage inventory and ensure equipment and asset protection; support store and pharmacy managers.
• Lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
