Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical operations and day-to-day pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help with patient registration, prescription data entry, and coordination of pharmacy services to ensure a positive patient experience.

The role includes training and guiding technicians, managing workflow, and participating in pharmacy improvements while adhering to policy, laws, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verification where allowed by law.
• Under pharmacist supervision, perform non-clinical duties to support efficient pharmacy workflow.
• Support inventory management, recordkeeping, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians as needed.
