Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily non-clinical pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision. The role includes patient data entry, medication preparation, and participation in health services where allowed by law.

The position emphasizes training, performance management of technicians, and adherence to company policies while maintaining a positive patient experience. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)
• Previous people management/ leadership experience.
• Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and admin tasks under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications.
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings, and other health services where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work under company policies while ensuring on-time task completion.
• Prepare and file reports required by company and government agencies.
• Maintain pharmacy workflow, organize daily schedule, and ensure inventory and security measures.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Education
