Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Services leader to coordinate daily activities of pharmacists, technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient service delivery and high-quality care. The role leads projects, oversees operations, training and quality control within the central pharmacy.

The incumbent will supervise staff, maintain regulatory compliance, collaborate with physicians and nursing staff, and manage controlled substances with attention to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacist credential required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related field.
  • 4+ years pharmacist experience or 3 years with residency.
  • Health system pharmacy leadership residency preferred.
  • Medicare/Medicaid program eligibility in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities of pharmacists and technicians.
  • Lead staff projects to improve department performance.
  • Ensure quality assurance measurements are in place.
  • Maintain compliance with laws and policies.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and health professionals.
  • Manage controlled substances inventory and integrity.
