Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an experienced pharmacy leader to coordinate daily activities of pharmacists, technicians and clerks in the central pharmacy, ensuring efficient services and quality systems.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Director, this role oversees staffing, training, evaluations, and compliance with regulations; focusing on patient safety and process improvements. A PharmD or equivalent is required, with Bachelor’s degree and leadership experience in health-system pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required).
• Master of Arts or Science.
• Master’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred.
• Equivalent Experience: 4+ years pharmacist leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Service Coordination across pharmacists, technicians and staff.
• Lead staff projects to improve department performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and quality standards.
• Oversee training, evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manage controlled substances and inventory in accordance with policy.
