Job summary

Kroger is seeking a pharmacist to manage all aspects of pharmacy practice within state and federal law, ensuring top customer service and financial performance. The role requires leadership of the pharmacy team, compliance with regulations, and involvement in clinical services and supplier negotiations.

You will oversee inventory, pricing, staff development, and budget adherence while promoting public health initiatives and disease state management across the store pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or Pharm degree from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy.
• Retail pharmacy experience required; 2+ years.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Participation in clinical programs encouraged.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to read prescriptions and documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• License must be in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist and lead the pharmacy team to reduce customer wait times.
• Develop and promote sales initiatives for the division pharmacy department.
• Follow all legal and company requirements as a licensed pharmacist.
• Direct staff to manage inventory and labor costs while meeting budgeted goals.
• Monitor controlled substances procedures and third-party reimbursements.
• Schedule staff to optimize workflow and utilization.
• Maintain records required by laws and company policies.
• Support public health initiatives and disease state management programs.
