Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to oversee all aspects of pharmacy practice, maximize financial performance, and ensure excellence in customer service. The role requires leadership of the pharmacy team, adherence to state and federal laws, and continuous improvement of processes and clinical services.

The position emphasizes adherence to corporate policies, effective pricing and generic utilization, inventory control, and staff development to meet labor and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree from an accredited U.S. school.
• 2+ years of related retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and confidentiality.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist and model behavior for the team.
• Develop and promote the sales plan and initiatives from the division pharmacy department.
• Ensure duties required of a registered pharmacist comply with laws and company policies.
• Direct pharmacy team to meet budgeted labor, volume, and inventory goals.
• Monitor third‑party profitability and handle rejections and audits promptly.
• Schedule staff to control labor costs and maintain proper records.
