Walgreens Co. is seeking a pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting, immunizations and medication management while ensuring accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes superior customer service and collaboration with healthcare providers. You will counsel patients, process prescriptions, manage workflow, and support store leadership in optimizing pharmacy operations and patient outcomes.

Competenze

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

• Engages customers and patients, greeting them and offering assistance with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generics, and refers to medical providers when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Ensures adherence to regulations, company policies, and Good Faith Dispensing practices.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements for productivity.
• Handles insurance claims processing and follows up with insurers and providers to prevent denials.
• Delivers immunizations and preventive health services, such as flu shots and diabetes awareness.
• Assists management with scheduling, procedures, and asset protection to improve pharmacy operations.
• Develops relationships with the local medical community and participates in community outreach.
