Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide patient-centered pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and medication management. You will ensure proper dispensing, counseling, and safety reviews while supporting efficient workflow and pharmacy profitability.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, administering immunizations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and collaborating with the pharmacy team to enhance customer experience and clinical services.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree before the start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, and insurance processes.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, policies, and standards, including opening/closing and shift changes.
• Performs immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive healthcare services.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff with technology and processes.
