Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medications, side effects, interactions, contraindications, privacy, generics, and OTC products.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations, policies and standards; supports efficient workflow and inventory management.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements.
• Reviews insurance claims, follows up with providers and audits to resolve issues.
• Delivers immunizations and preventive health services; supports community healthcare initiatives.
• Assists in analyzing performance data and KPI reviews with pharmacy leadership.
• Develops relationships with local medical community to promote pharmacy services.
