Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharm D degree from an accredited institution.
• Pharmacist licensure in the applicable state/district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; refers to provider as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and pharmacy policies; assists manager with procedures and workflow; supervises opening/closing.
• Follows Good Faith Dispensing policy per state/federal laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and proposes system enhancements.
• Processes insurance claims; follows up with insurers and providers; participates in audits.
• Delivers immunizations, clinical/wellness services, and preventive care outreach to patients.
• Builds relationships with local medical community and participates in community outreach.
• Supports KPI reviews and vendor/asset control with the Pharmacy Manager.
