Job summary

Walgreens is looking for a Pharmacist to provide consulting, immunizations, and medication management with strict adherence to regulations. You will ensure accurate dispensing, drug interactions review, and patient safety in everyday operations.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, handling compounding and verification, managing insurance claims, and supporting customer experience with clinical and wellness services. Experience in retail pharmacy and regulatory compliance is valued.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; refers to providers when needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow within pharmacy policies.
• Maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and proposes system enhancements.
• Processes insurance claims and follows up with insurers and providers.
• Provides immunizations and other preventive healthcare services.
• Reviews KPI performance with Pharmacy and Store Managers.
