Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting, compounding, dispensing and patient safety services in a fast-paced retail setting. You will counsel patients, review medications, manage insurance claims, and support the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, and related patient information/privacy concerns.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and policies; supports workflow and shift responsibilities.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to increase productivity.
• Processes insurance claims accurately and follows up with providers to resolve issues and reduce rejections.
• Provides immunizations and other preventive healthcare services.
