Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a post-graduate pharmacy associate to perform supervised pharmacy duties, counsel customers on medications, monitor for interactions, and provide preventive services such as immunizations. You will ensure accurate dispensing, reviews, and adherence to Good Faith and regulatory requirements.

You will support workflow optimization, inventory management, and customer experience improvements under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required? (Note – If you live in a state that does NOT require an Intern permit/certificate, response is 'yes'
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 45 days of completion of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage of medicines, side effects, interactions and recalls to medical providers as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policy, state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.

Education
