Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a Post-Graduate Pharmacy Associate to work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will fulfill State Board requirements while providing counseling on medication usage and drug interactions, and offering preventive care such as immunizations.

You will ensure proper compounding, dispensation, review and verification of prescriptions within policy and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• FPGEC (Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the state Board of Pharmacy.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours completion.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions about medication usage, effects, interactions and safety.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and med management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications with accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Supports efficient pharmacy workflow, inventory management and customer experience.
