Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to translate didactic learning into real‑world practice within our retail pharmacy teams. Under a licensed pharmacist, you will follow a structured training roadmap, gaining hands‑on experience in prescription processing, patient care, and store operations.

You will participate in immunization support, inventory activities, and cross‑store collaboration while developing clinical and technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern/technician licensure
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
• Attention and Focus under varied tasks
• Customer Service and Team Orientation in patient interactions

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs and leadership interaction
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure timely, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians
• Counsel patients when appropriate and collect patient history for optimal care
• Handle telephonic prescriptions and communications with prescribers as allowed by state law
• Support inventory activities and pharmacy operations under supervision
• Demonstrate empathy and professional communication with patients and colleagues
• Travel to stores as needed to cover shifts in the market
• Comply with laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy
• Deliver immunization and other offsite services when trained and certified
