Job summary

CVS Health, a leader in transforming health care, seeks a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning in real-world practice under a pharmacist preceptor. You will participate in a comprehensive training roadmap across stores, district, and regional operations, supporting pharmacy teams to fill prescriptions safely and promptly.

Under supervision, you’ll learn SOPs, patient counseling, immunizations, and other health services while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

ACPE-accredited college/school of pharmacy enrolled or admitted.
Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

Follow SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
Assist with patient experiences showing empathy and genuine care.
Counsel patients and collect medical history under supervision.
Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescriber when allowed.
Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
Complete basic inventory and cycle counts as directed by leadership.
Travel to stores in the market as needed to support operations.
Comply with laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure safety and privacy.
Deliver immunizations and other health services where allowed by law.
