Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams and learn in a real-world setting. You will follow SOPs, assist with dispensing and patient interactions, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations under a pharmacist’s supervision.

You will complete a training roadmap with hands-on experience, including immunizations and other services as allowed by law, while developing clinical and technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Accepted into ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern/technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to assist Pharmacists and Technicians in patient health delivery.
• Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures for safe prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service and support immunizations and services as applicable.
• Counsel patients and obtain necessary medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and prescriber clarifications as allowed by law.
• Mentor pharmacy team and participate in training and coaching.
• Support inventory tasks and maintain inventory accuracy.
