Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice within CVS Retail locations. You will support the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and caring service that exceeds patient expectations, under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.

You will gain hands-on experience through a structured training roadmap, including KLEs, activities, and leadership exposure across store operations while preparing for a Pharmacist role.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health.
• Support pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients when appropriate, and provide immunizations and other services under supervision.
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and clarifications with prescribers where allowed by state regulation.
• Learn and mentor others, share best practices, and support inventory and operations tasks as directed.
