Job summary

CVS Health in Massachusetts is seeking a 3rd-year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in a real-world setting within CVS retail locations. You will work under a licensed pharmacist, complete a training roadmap, and rotate through pharmacy workflows to ensure safe, timely prescriptions and compassionate patient care.

The role emphasizes SOP adherence, teamwork, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge, with opportunities to support immunizations and other pharmacy services as allowed

Qualifications

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment or eligibility.
Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on KLEs and increasing responsibilities.
Follow SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
Assist with immunizations and other services as allowed by state law and training.
Counsel patients, obtain patient history when appropriate, and escalate to pharmacist as needed.
Assist with telephonic prescriptions and communication with prescribers when required.
Travel to stores in the market to support scheduling and business needs.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations and CVS policies.
