Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice and prepare for a Pharmacist role. Under a preceptor, you will follow a structured training roadmap with KLEs, participate in store operations, and support the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.

You will learn SOPs, patient communication, immunization services, and collaborative care while gaining exposure to district and regional operations.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task and pivot quickly to meet patient and business needs
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner
• Communication Skills: verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate prescriptions, days supply, and bottle counts
• Problem Resolution: identify and resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions
• Physical Demands: mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, vision and manual dexterity
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
• Delivering immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where allowed by law and training
