Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning in real-world practice and prepare for a Pharmacist role within our pharmacy team. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations while delivering safe, compassionate patient care.

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Following SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health.
• Assisting in pharmacy workflow procedures for safe prescription fulfillment.
• Counseling patients when appropriate and soliciting medical history to provide optimal care.
• Taking telephonic prescriptions and clarifying prescriptions where allowed by state regulation.
• Maintaining teamwork and contributing to a safe, inclusive culture.
