Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy settings. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs and learn store, district, and regional operations under a preceptor.

You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment, provide empathetic patient care, and support SOPs across shifts. This is a part-time role with opportunities to grow toward pharmacist responsibilities and

Qualifications

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Able to stay focused on tasks and pivot as needed.
• Demonstrates empathy and effective communication with patients and team.
• Comfort with handling prescription details accurately and safely.
• Comfort with basic pharmacy math and calculations.
• Ability to resolve issues and support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on KLEs and increasing responsibility.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient prescription processing and customer service.
• Support immunizations and other patient care services as allowed by state regulations.
• Counsel patients and obtain necessary information when appropriate under supervision.
• Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions or changes when required.
• Help with inventory tasks and daily operations as directed by leadership.
• Be flexible with scheduling and travel to other stores as needed.
