Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, gaining hands-on experience in a store pharmacy, district, and regional operations.

You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap with key learning experiences (KLEs), SOPs, and mentorship to prepare for a Pharmacist role while delivering safe, caring service to patients.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists and technicians manage patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service and assist with immunizations and services.
• Counsel patients and collect relevant medical history when appropriate.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers as allowed.
• Mentor pharmacy team members and share best practices.
• Complete basic inventory activities and cycle counts.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team; travel to stores as needed.
