Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice within our pharmacy teams at Retail locations. You will follow SOPs, assist with prescription fulfillment, and contribute to safe, compassionate patient care under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.

You will complete a structured training roadmap with hands-on experience, immunization support, and exposure to store, district, and regional operations, preparing you for increased responsibilities

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists and technicians manage and improve patient health.
• Assist pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic, client-focused service to patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
• Counsel patients and collect medical history information to support optimal care under supervision.
• Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions when allowed by state regulations.
• Support the pharmacy team with training, mentoring, and SOP adherence.
