Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern in a retail setting to apply didactic knowledge in real-world practice under a preceptor. You will follow a structured training roadmap, support pharmacy operations, and assist in delivering safe, accurate prescriptions with a patient‑centered approach.

You will learn SOPs, collaborate with pharmacists, counsel patients, take telephonic prescriptions, and participate in immunization activities and related patient services where allowed.

Qualifications

• Accepted into ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern and/or technician licensure.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to become immunization certified.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and assist pharmacists to ensure patient safety and service.
• Assist with prescription fulfillment across workflow areas.
• Counsel patients, answer medical questions, and collect patient history where appropriate.
• Handle telephonic prescriptions and seek clarifications with prescribers.
• Support immunizations and other patient services as allowed.
