Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in retail locations while applying didactic learning to real-world practice. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap designed to show what it’s like to be part of a pharmacy team and to understand store, district, and regional operations.

You will gain hands-on experience, assist with dispensing, learn SOPs, and contribute to safe, compassionate service that meets patient needs.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Counsel patients when appropriate, and gather information to provide optimal care under supervision
• Support immunizations and other patient services where allowed by state regulations
• Maintain inventory activities and contribute to a high-performing team
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by business
