Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering patient-centered care. You will help obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support store operations while upholding state and federal regulations.

You will learn to provide the best patient experience, engage with customers, and participate in health services under supervision, including blood pressure checks and medication therapy management as available.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy under supervision of the pharmacist in accordance with state policies.
• Process prescriptions including entering data, third party processing, filling, and dispensing.
• Counsel patients and deliver patient care services within state scope of practice.
• Maintain inventory and assist with pharmacy operations and policy adherence.
• Report prescription errors and support quality improvement processes.
