Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering patient care and service excellence. You will learn to use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and assist in processing prescriptions, while ensuring a positive customer experience and adherence to company policies.

You will work under pharmacist supervision, participate in training, and gain exposure to healthcare services such as blood pressure checks and medication therapy

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Assists pharmacists and other healthcare providers in patient care and services within state scope of practice.
• Performs duties under pharmacist supervision for entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to policies in the Quality Improvement Program.
