Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and help deliver a distinctive customer experience.

Under supervision, you will learn pharmacy procedures, participate in patient counseling, and assist with health services while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues for a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive Walgreens experience.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in pharmacy practice per state/federal policy and Walgreen SOPs.
• Assist pharmacists in patient counseling and health services within state scope of practice.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow Quality Improvement procedures.
