Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy intern to support pharmacists and the pharmacy team in delivering excellent patient care in a Walgreens store. You will learn to use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while upholding state and federal regulations.

Through training and hands-on patient interactions, you will contribute to a distinctive customer experience, adhere to the Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and participate in inventory and basic pharmacy support

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Develops strong relationships with customers.
• Under supervision, assist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal policy.
• Assist pharmacists in entering, third party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to policies.
