Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while delivering a distinctive customer experience.

You will learn pharmacy policy, procedures, and customer service best practices, and contribute to inventory management and occasional patient counseling under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and team to provide patient care per regulations.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver courteous, helpful customer service and maintain accurate records.
• Support inventory management and stocking of pharmacy supplies.
• Report prescription errors and participate in quality improvement.
