Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn and support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in providing safe, compliant patient care. Under supervision you will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while delivering a distinctive customer experience.

This role emphasizes customer service, adherence to regulations, and building relationships with customers while gaining exposure to policy and procedures in a community pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Models service best practices and engages customers with proactive help.
• Builds strong relationships with customers.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in practicing pharmacy and processing prescriptions.
• Support inventory management and maintain store and pharmacy area.
• Report prescription errors promptly and follow Good Faith Dispensing policies.
