Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a Pharmacy Informatics Specialist to lead planning, implementation, and support of pharmacy information systems. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and operational efficiency through technology integration.

The role requires strong analytical skills, Epic Willow proficiency, and experience with automation systems. It offers on-site work in a hospital setting with opportunities to manage small informatics projects.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED.
Associate degree or 3–5 years in pharmacy with EMR and automation experience.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or similar healthcare certification.
Proficiency in Epic Willow modules (Inpatient, Ambulatory, Inventory) and other automation systems.

Responsibilities

Participate in planning, analysis, design, testing, and implementation of pharmacy-related computer systems (Epic Willow, infusion pumps, dispensing cabinets, automated systems).
Serve as a resource for Pharmacist Informatics Specialists during updates or problem resolution.
Understand and optimize workflows in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings.
Lead small projects related to pharmacy informatics and manage project timelines.
