UTMB Health seeks a Pharmacy Informatics Specialist to plan, implement, and support pharmacy information systems across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role focuses on optimizing workflows, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing patient safety through technology integration.

Responsibilities include implementing Epic Willow modules, coordinating with IT and pharmacy staff, and leading small informatics projects while adhering to regulatory standards and change management processes.

Formación

• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows and hospital/clinic operations.
• Proven ability to analyze and optimize pharmacy information systems.
• Experience with EMR and pharmacy automation.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders (pharmacy staff, IT, vendors).
• Proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, analyze, design, test, and implement pharmacy computer systems (Epic Willow, pumps, cabinets).
• Serve as resource for Pharmacist Informatics Specialists when updates are needed.
• Understand and optimize inpatient and outpatient workflows.
• Lead small projects related to pharmacy informatics.
• Maintain systems and ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Provide training and support on system usage and updates.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and document changes.
• Close tickets using the management system.
