Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance seeks a pharmacist in training to perform post-graduate activities under direct supervision, fulfilling State Board requirements. You will counsel customers on medication usage, interactions, and preventive care such as immunizations, while ensuring accurate compounding, dispensing, review and verification of prescriptions.

You will support pharmacy workflow, assist in inventory management and revenue optimization, and contribute to delivering outstanding customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions and privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies and Good Faith Dispensing.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff.
• Immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and preventive health services.
