Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance seeks a post-graduate pharmacy assistant under direct supervision to fulfill State Board of Pharmacy requirements. You will provide medication counseling, support immunization services and help ensure proper compounding, dispensing and verification in compliance with regulations.

You will assist in optimizing pharmacy operations, inventory and patient experience under guidance of licensed pharmacists and pharmacy managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required?
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 45 days of intern hours completion.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions and privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures operations comply with regulations and company policies; supports workflow.
