Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, including picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation for pharmacist verification. The role supports a clean, organized workspace and regulatory compliance across long-term care and related pharmacy services.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and state-registered pharmacy technician license/certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (long-term care preferred)

Responsibilities

• Pull and pick medications from shelves and storage areas.
• Accurately check final preparation before pharmacist verification.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycling/disposal per procedure.
• Pre-pack frequently ordered medications and label/stock during low-volume times.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Comply with HIPAA and government regulations.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and restock supplies.
• Notify pharmacist of scanning issues with medications/products.
• Follow safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Occasional overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required.
• Other duties as assigned per business needs.
