Polaris Pharmacy Services in North Carolina seeks a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, label, scan, and finalize orders for pharmacist verification. You will help maintain an organized workspace and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma and state-registered pharmacy technician licenses/certifications; prior long-term care experience is preferred and shifts may vary. Overtime and weekend work could be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelves and storage areas.
• Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to pharmacist.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
• Process returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Pre-pack frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Follow HIPAA and other government regulations.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and replenish stock.
• Alert pharmacist of any medication scanning issues.
• Adhere to safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
