Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services of Ohio LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, label, scan, and finalize orders for pharmacist verification. The role includes maintaining an organized workspace and ensuring regulatory compliance in a patient-focused environment.

The position requires a High School diploma and state pharmacy technician licensure, with preferred experience in long-term care and ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to physically perform light lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Able to work various shifts including holidays and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks).
• Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely manner under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and dispose/recycle per procedure.
• Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and replenish stock as needed.
