Job summary

Right Dose Pharmacy in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to enter prescriptions, triage faxes, and support accurate dispensing. You will communicate with customers by phone and ensure proper notes and cycle fills are documented in the system.

The role requires a state license/certification and potentially the National Certification (PTCB). Weekend hours and varied shifts reflect the pharmacy’s service model and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy technician license/certification/registration required per state; national certification (PTCB) preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with pharmacy operations systems preferred.
• Detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system accurately and timely.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions for timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosages based on prescriptions.
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy, routing to appropriate team members as needed.
• Maintain and learn multiple pharmacy systems and processes.
