Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role involves entering and refilling prescriptions, triaging faxes, and ensuring accurate dosage calculations while maintaining top-level customer service.

Qualifications

2+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute.
Strong computer skills; pharmacy systems experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Quality minded and proactive about errors.

Responsibilities

Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and on time.
Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
Verify notes in computer and cycle fill coding; calculate/determine correct dosage.
Respond to customer calls with care and route appropriately for top-level service.
Ensure all prescriptions assigned for processing are completed in regular shift.
Receive, evaluate, and follow-up with doctors’ offices on refills.
Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems (e.g., document imaging, legacy system).
Assist with filing, packaging, inventory and processing prescriptions as needed.
Maintain data entry records for cycle medication and renewals.
