Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute)
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment managing multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and promptly
• Triages incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing
• Maintain proper notes and cycle fill coding in the system
• Calculate and verify correct dosages based on prescriptions
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy
• Route calls to ensure top-level service
• Complete all assigned prescriptions within the shift
• Collaborate with doctors’ offices on refills and follow up as needed
• Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems and processes
