Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and updates records. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by assisting with entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists in scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party prescription claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains promotional displays and completes store resets as directed.
- Assists with food product placement, stock rotation, and inventory management.
- Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
- Provides photo area services, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web order pick-up processes and ensures timely delivery to customers.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Performs additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
