Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, and processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in-store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Performs pricing and merchandising duties as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with workflow and scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and complies with pharmacy policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, including calls to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical tasks as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims related to inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays and assists with product resets and revisions.
- Assists with food product separation and stock rotation, following safety and quality standards.
- Operates store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pick-up and delivery responsibilities.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and supports overall store maintenance.
- Adheres to company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional requirements include:
- Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
