Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Operates the cash register, processes transactions, and handles returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Assists with pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting pharmacists with workflow. Reports prescription errors immediately and complies with pharmacy policies and legal requirements.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with product placement and stock rotation, ensuring proper handling of food items and perishables.
- Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pickups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, adheres to company policies, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes additional tasks and special assignments as directed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification or relevant state certification through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Participates in training sessions, acquires necessary credits, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
