Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products to customers.
- Handles register transactions accurately, including processing payments, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists in workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and complies with company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality assurance.
- Follows all policies related to prescription dispensing and maintains confidentiality and compliance with legal regulations.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians, and processes third-party prescription claims efficiently.
- Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures.
- Ensures compliance with regulations concerning sales of regulated products such as tobacco and alcohol.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, assists with product resets, and manages product placement and stock rotation.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pickups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification or relevant state registration, attending required training and continuing education to stay current in pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
